In Poland, menopause is used as a replacement for the words Menopause or Climacterium – meanwhile, klimaks means ladder from the Greek, and klimakter means rung, so it is simply the next stage of a woman's maturity.
The graphical timeline presents approximate age frames for each stage of life, from menarche (first menstrual period) to menopause (last menstrual period). It's important to remember that individual differences may exist.
